The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer: The Perfect Large SUV

What's New for 2023?

For its second year in production, the Jeep Wagoneer expands its design of the L trim to include a long seven-inch wheelbase and 12 inches to its overall length. This extension offers more passenger and cargo space to an already spacious model. A new twin-turbocharged 420 horsepower inline-six-cylinder engine replaces the gas-guzzling V-8 engine under the hood. And a blacked-out Carbide appearance package is now available, which adds gloss-black wheels, black exterior trim detailing, and special interior trim and upholstery.

Performance

Every Wagoneer model now comes with a 420-hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. But Billings, MT residents who wish to unlock the Wagoneer's full off-road capabilities can add four-wheel drive if they wish. Though if you add four-wheel drive to the Wagoneer, the estimated fuel economy is dropped to 16/22 miles per gallon. Without it, the fuel economy is 17/23 mpg.

Technology

But this model's strong engine and decent fuel economy aren't this model's only standout features. With a spacious three-row cabin, this model can be equipped with seating for up to eight. And with a rich design, there are plenty of standard luxury items, such as leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, and ambient interior lighting.

Safety

The Wagoneer comes with several driver-assistance features. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and pedestrian detection all come standard. But optional features include an automated parking system, a 360-degree surround-view system, and more.
